i've always been a geek

howdy peeps---

i was looking through pix earlier today to see if i could find any showing my missing jewelry. i only found a couple. this, being one of them. not a good shot of the ear rings-- but one of my fave pix. it was taken when my nephew was living with us for a while. leave it to me to put us all in the same shirt. ugh. i do like the picture... but c'mon. tell me a 14 year old boy didn't think that was the geeky-est thing he'd ever been forced to do? sorry weis! i love you!

(PS: before i forget--- :)) ---- i don't EVER go on facebook anymore)

back to your regularly scheduled reading ....

anyhow-- yep-- those ear rings are one of the things that got ripped off in the move.

my aunt (dads sis) gave them to me.
she died suddenly and unexpectedly of a brain aneurysm almost a year after my dad died of cancer.
oooohhhh... i wish i would hear something more about what's goin on with this guy. why isn't he in jail? they know he robbed me. aren't they supposed to arrest him or something?? wth? i'm so pissed of about that still.

i'm so rusty at writing. i have no idea what to say here. sorry. i did a little cruisin and sayin hi today. that's about all i had time for , was to say hi. i was on my way to the dr. and errands . if i haven't got to your place yet-- i will.

welp-- things are just rollin along here. i'm still puttin stuff away, and my kitchen is my biggest dilemma. i have little storage, and no clue where to put anything. i've also been peeling wallpaper in the guest bathrooom for thelast couple days. i have a plan... but little energy. that's not good. i have the paint too-- goin "sage green". it'll be cool, if i ever get it finished. i also need to hang my pictures and do all that stuff too. otherwise i'd be showin ya pics of the place. i have the small stuff put up for the most part-- i mean no boxes are stacked around. but not much decor is goin on either. who wants to come help? i have no sense of martha stuart-ism.
whaaaaa.

angie was here again tho, btw. she helped us get the beginning stages of the unpacking and sorting done. i wouldn't be this far without her help. she's a miracle worker--and a great friend. i'd be standing in the middle of a sea of clutter if not for her. prolly in the old house :))
thanks angie-

welp folks-- i gotta go forage for food--

hope yall are well and happy today--
catchya later-

It's a true treat to find that you've posted. Darn I've missed you.

Angie is a true friend. I'm so glad that you had her to help you get the move to a managable point.

This is a really nice picture. I think the shirts all being the same was a neat idea.

Trying to hurry so I can be first. Hope you are having a relaxing evening.

Keep calling your detective and find out what the scoop is. As soon as he gathers enough evidence and gets a value of what was stolen (the higher the value, the more serious the charge), he will present it to the prosecutor's office to have a warrant written up. After that, they arrest him. If he has priors he may not be bondable and that would be good but since he was working for a moving company, I'm betting he didn't have priors. He can bond out for 10% of what the judge sets at arraignment until it goes to court. I would find out about making a claim for all your stolen things to the moving company, but talk to the detective first. If you get paid off, you may not be able to press charges and the insurance company may not want to fool with pressing charges and then he'll walk. So ask first. I am really hoping that you can get most or all of your stuff back since you have sentimental value attached to it.
Can't wait to see pics of the new place once you get settled in. You sound good and I'm SO GLAD you're back!!!! Hugs, Charlotte

You do sound good tonite Soul Sis, and I'm smiling really big about that! Moving is one giant pain in the rear. We've lived here over a year now and I just recently hung curtains, much of the "decor" is still boxed in storage and waiting to be sorted when the weather cools. It feels like home, but we may be 70 before we finishing sorting thru the clutter! I think the kitchen is always the hardest part too, there is really never enough cupboards and drawers. I was glad to see that you were out blog cruisin' this afternoon. It just goes to show that life can't get you down for too long, some day you gotta write the "Soul Survivor" story... it'll sell! Don't push too hard, a little at a time and it will eventually all get done. Sage green sounds lovely - calm and cool. Hey, you forgot to warn me that Texas is so darn hot all summer long. UGH! (Not that it was any cooler in "hell". :-)

i've missed you too--and i've been terribly worried. i know i coulda called-- more. and should have. sorry i didn't.

really tho-- i don't think i woulda been much help lately. moving is tough on me-- and i kinda turn into the hulk or something. bad thing? angie witnessed one of my attacks, i think it kinda freaked her out-- obviously it didn't cause long lasting damage-- cuz she came by. :))

anyhoo--- keep me posted on how your doing. i know the ups and downs of recovery-- of just about anything is not good. it's just a day at a time girl. ok? don't throw in the towel over an extended setback. you've seen a few of us come back from those. more than once. right? you'll be ok.

please call, and give me a heads up on what ya don't feel you can write about ok? i worry.

btw-- if you haven't read "The Stinky Cheese Man" to or with the boys--- go here

http://www.goodreads.com/book/show/407429.The_Stinky_Cheese_Man_and_Other_Fairly_Stupid_Tales

even my child says "something is wrong with you" if your kids haven't read , seen, or been read that book. just ask angie. the shock on soulkids face... priceless!

happy humpday LBF

charlotte-- how do you know all that!!! good info. still the waiting is killing me. i do plan to call or go down there today. it's only a couple miles. if i call, they may not tell me anything. you know how they are. ID. i could be the thief ya know. so i will prolly drive over and ask em WTF they are doing... where they are at on this. have they seen any security video from the pawn shop? positive ID on the guy? any more hits? where IS my stuff. are they gonna arrest him. have they questioned him? etc etc.

this is gonna kill me.

we got the motion lights up-- still shopping for alarm companies. every noise is a bitch.
i woke at like 130 or something today-- what i heard was her, upstairs, trying to finish her chores so she could go to a friends today-- in the middle of the night--- ugh. she won't be awake to go anywhere now anyhow. where is that child's head, i wonder. don't answer-- i think we know :))

good to be back. even if i am just blabbin my head off sayin nuthin. it's not like that's new to anyone...right? :))

have a good day spidey friend-

sophie--

i know whatchya mean. if only i could get my crap outta storage-- it would help immensely. we haven't got that far yet. i really wanna keep my car in the garage and the house as clutter free as possible-- so it will be only a few boxes at a time... and we just now got to the point of bringing some over-- or being able to. but i have a lot of things that will help with organizing the kitchen.
bad part? i also have a lot-- that will make it worse.
i have been collecting cows and roosters-- many antique-- for YEARS. moving away from that now-- so , well... that's a problem. good thing we have a good attic. most is good old sell-able stuff that people want. some i will miss. stuff i really worked hard putting together-- collections ya know?...other stuff isn't that important-- yard sale stuff. but i do have other things like old crocks, for utensils (is that the word i want? - doesn't look right) -- stuff like that. that i will use.
then i have a stained glass rooster that i made-- i can't sell that...or throw it in the attic. i really wanna give that to someone who loves me. any takers??

so anyhow-- yep still... babylon soul-- :))
much of my decor has been boxed since we lived in hell. :)) i've done very little decorating in both houses here since then. going through the stuff in storage will be a surprise i think. or a big letdown. "we moved THIS???? "
but isn't that how it goes?

welp anyhow-- i forgot to tell you--- texas does only have two seasons-- HAWT-- and FREEZIN.
i really thought i told you that. sorry :))
guess you're stuck now-- but admit it-- it does beat HELL. you know it does. at least theres green here :))

ummm. no y'all--- i think soulkid and the nephew will hide that photo in shame for all eternity :))

that-- or it could always be a good lead in about the story of "my crazy aunt"
or
"my senile mother"

right?

yep-- that was sposed to be funny.
