how bout this?

in further tx weather news

... The first 90 degree temperatures of the year in North Texas...

Although most parts of North Texas saw temperatures in the 70s to
lower 80s... the extreme western sections saw temperatures climb
above 90 degrees this afternoon. Breckenridge in Stephens County
climbed to 95 degrees. A surface low pressure system had moved to
just northeast of Graham by mid afternoon with an accompanying
trough extending southwest to just east of Eastland. Behind this
low and trough... winds were westerly and the air was very dry.

Although temperatures in the 80s and higher are well above
normal... they are not unheard of. Last year... on February
25th... most of the region saw temperatures in the 80s. Dallas Fort Worth Airport /dfw/ and Breckenridge both reached 88 degrees and Waco reached 84 degrees.
Back in 1996... Waco reached their record high for the month of February with 96 degrees on both the 21st and 22nd. Also in 1996... dfw reached 95 degrees on February 21st... their second warmest February temperatures. Dfw set the record high for
February of 96 degrees back on February 25 1904.

well, there's your weather history lesson for the day :))

now-- take a look at the forcast---- it may hit 81 again today !
this is my kinda weather!
i have a room for rent -- i'll take ya fishin too. c'mn peeps!
(you don't really have to rent it-- you just have to sleep in the room with the litter-box :))

i didn't get to fish tho-- i was just entirely too busy. and it really bummed me out.
maybe next time--i'll have a do nothing day-- and do whatever i want!
like cleaning when i find my mojo. nah-- screw that--- this weather most definitely calls for fishin!!!

so anyhow-- soulkid starts home school tomorrow. along with a schedule and regimen. this sittin around doin nuthin every day for her-- is killin me!

cuz , that's just the way it is-

this is when i think she and i --- should watch more tv together-- or go to the movies--- just anything. change. it really can be be healing.

i really am doin the best i can right now---
i just--as usual--don't think it's good enough.

but hey--
ya can't blame me for tryin.
right?

or- can you?

Wow, you have a lot on your plate! This home schooling deal is a big responsibility. It can solve a lot of problems though. You'll get in the groove (so to speak) and it won't be as bad as it looks from where you are now.

Brave girl, you are. Taxes are one big pain in the tush. I did taxes for years but when Harry entered the picture taxes became his pain - not mine.

Take time to fish. You need the time. Speaking of doing things together (with Soulkid) can you talk her into learning to fish? She might enjoy fishing if she tried. I bet you can find a way to incorporate fishing into homeschool. My neighbor had gardening as a class in her homeschooling.

Have a good day and take time to enjoy the warm weather.

So what is home scholing lie? I imagine she's at an age where you don't have to be standing over her (or on top of her) while she's working - Do you both just agree on the assignment then she goes and does it or are you more 'hands on' ?

hiya LBF-- :))

(AND EVERYONE ELSE)

how's things?

i'm gettin a bit tired over here, but i guess i'll have to ignore that for a while-- alarm hell is beginning. ugh.
(that's when soulman lets his alarm go off-- FIVE times--- and soulkids too---or if not, he gets up and tries to get her out of bed.
have i mentioned i just love mornings around here.

i really did used to like my mornings. i would actually speak--- so would soulman.. til those magic words--- "i do". then he decided to sleep til ten on days off-- while i was up by 5 or earlier - whether i had to be or not. so, then, with no one to coffee talk or "smoke and choke" with i would call my sis--or she would call me-- and we'd coffee on the phone for two hours sometimes.
of course that came to an abrupt halt--after she got with skatzi. so i
started this blog a few years later (not sure how many) - but not long after--- i just found myself smokin and chokin with a couple peeps from blogland.
then--- i found jamie-- or she found me-- and we just so happened to have the same horrible sleep patterns... such as wakin up at 3 am..or so. we would talk online for hours sometimes. man she made me laugh like a mental patient. oh-- i am a mental patient.
anyhow--- thank god for yahoo chat. mornings would truly suck--again--- if it didn't exist.but things just got busy--and i had to stop-- ok nearly stop-- takin the laptop to bed. cuz i would sleep blog---and or fall asleep online, and hubby would have to rescue me from laptop strangulation when he came to bed. LOL. those were the days. but of course-- i still have my moments. i "sleep ate" the other night-- mini heath bars. LOL imagine my horror when i woke up with melted chocolate on my shirt. ugh. i sure do embarrass my dumb self a lot when it comes to bed meds. but as you know i have to take enough to put down a small horse just to get maybe 5 hours of sleep-and that's if i'm lucky---haha-- and you know how MY luck is!

but anyhow, nights were opposite of japan, where yankee lives-- so nights like 9-11 or 12 was the best time to talk with her. haha. we had some good times. i need to re-connect with my fallen bloggers. i feel like the walking wounded over here... life just got in the way, and now i don't hardly even catch jamieeee (in the mornings). whaaaa.
but-- we did manage to catch each other a while ago-- it was good to catch up a little with her. it's weird when ya "talk" to someone every single day for a couple years almost---to have it abruptly stop? not good. and i recoil from change like a hot flame. not on purpose; it's just that me and change don't mesh, ya know.

soooo-- to get back on task here :))

takin soulkid fishin as a class--or even a lesson..cuz i really think it's gonna be tough to get her to actually fish-- i may get her to go hang out-- but i don't know-- we shall see.

i had also thought of photography. she was taking that in her other school. the kid loves to take pictures. so we could do that to..or instead. or she could be my fish pic taker..much easier than taking them myself i'm sure.

and we have also talked about a cooking "class"-- i can't teach her how to sew tho-- cuz i can't sew a straight line myself! or iron for that matter. ugh. her dad can sew tho...and iron. maybe he can be her teacher for those things... but she does want to cook with me and learn how to make a few of her favorite dishes on her own.

that's a lot of extra "classes".. i could come up with a name for all of it and make it one class-- and just do one of the few once a week. hard to say, but i am worried about pullin it off. not so much the life stuff-- photos, cooking, cleanin, sewing, it's the math that has me paralyzed with fear. ugh. i just don't know this level of math..like algebra, calculus-- hell-- i don't even know what calculus IS. and science-- i'm not too sure about that either.
i hope she is more at ease with this than she's lettin on. i'm just not sure if it's gonna work out. but--y'all will be the first to know what our next step is....once we get goin. she did a couple lessons yesterday-- but it was english-- fiction writing. that is a natural thing for her-- to read and write .

oh and taxes don't make me brave--it keeps me sane-- i'm havin a hard enough time finding all this stuff on my own.. i couldn't imagine soulman gettin in here and sifting thru everything. it really is a pit of paper hell. i bet if i piled it all up on the floor it would be a foot tall-- maybe two. that's scattered--- if i piled it? five feet maybe. omg just kill me now.

well..it looks like this is another post right here in my box--- good thing it aint in yours huh.

i should move it over as a lone post--- but i gotta get offa here.. or at least move to my chair-- this desk is sheer murder on my back. it's on FIAH this morning. has been for a couple days actually. it better stop hurtin soon, or there;ll be no fishin.. it's in my right scap area that hurts and burns--- and i'm right handed... erg..bummer.
oh well.. maybe a movie?
we can consider that ummm--- an english lesson. ya--that's the ticket.

ok i'm shuttin up now---

i hope i answered everything for all a y'all-- cuz i can't sit here any more.

happy thursday---
EVERYBODY

ps-- this was so long and so fast i don't even know what it says-- and i don't have time to proofread it--- so--just take it for what it is and know i am senile. :))
