some random crap o' the day

happy un-holiday to you----

it's kind of a holiday to me today. even though i have a lot of crap i need to do today. such as all the chores around the house i neglected over the weekend-- due to some unexpected -- well, for lack of a better term.. Bullshit-- that came up a couple days ago. in fact all my "productive" weekend plans came to a screeching halt. i didn't even mail my rent, which has always been in my landlady's hand before the end of the month-- and this time-- the check hasn't even been written, much less mailed. ugh.

i feel so worthless when i do nothing like this-- but it's times like this that when i push myself too hard , that stuff like seizures and other unexpected medical issues decide to arise lately. so i chose to just take it easy. well, as easy as i could. mainly meaning physically. mentally/emotionally.. whole different ballgame .

see -- i can't even think straight-- how the hell am i supposed to pay bills and get in anyway organized around here??? this crap is all over the place. seems so anyhow.

so anyhow-- soulkid rode the school bus this morning. hahahahaha. first time since kindergarten. even though it's been in the planning since last year, it almost feels like a punishment-- on both ends i think. after driving her for so long, it just seems strange. but i like it. i'll still have to get up, to make sure she is awake on time, but i don't have to get dressed or face morning traffic hell... any-mo ! i really love that idea. and the walk to the bus stop for her isn't as far as i thought it was at first. it's only a few blocks, not half a mile like i thought. it might be a five minute walk for her, so i think she'll survive. i sure as hell walked further in my day--- in fact, in high school in colorado-- i'd shower before school, leave with wet hair-- and a few times, after a one mile walk--- arrive at school with ICE in my hair. so i better not hear her whine about this. of course i will though. but that's just too bad. miss big bad freshman. :))

hmmm... that's about it for now i think.
i gotta get my day started -- doing what? not too sure at this point. my main pressing thing, is getting my bills paid, and or in the mail. after that-- i may- or may not clean and do laundry.
if i decide against that-- i might just break in my new fishin license. i'm just not sure right now.
but after a weekend like the one that just passed-- fishin may just win out over the chores.
afterall, there's always tomorrow--- right.
and isn;t that why God made crock pots, and paper plates??

hope y'all have happy days out there in your worlds--- i'm workin on it--- as usual.

Looks as if you might get some left over rain compliments of Gustav. Better go fishin' now and clean later. Maybe mail a rent check on the way to the fishin' hole. Whatever, have a good day.

Nope, we didn't get any - rain or anything else. Out of the path of rain and too old to worry about anything else. Sorry - I just couldn't resist.

I'm so happy about school :)

My daughter has always taken the bus...it's around the corner. I've been waking up and making her breakfast. I don't mind doing that cause I like it when she eats. Somehow she wakes up every morning. I don't know how she does it cause she goes to bed so late.

You OK today?

I absolutely WASTED this day. I did nothing....and the day went by so fast. One minute I was having morning coffee...the next I'm getting ready for bed. It will be a short week too. Kids are back in school and that makes for MORE traffic in the morning when I'm trying to get out of my driveway....ugh! My street is the main thoroughfare to the school. Have a peaceful night! Hugs, Charlotte

Oh, it's nice that Soulkid is taking a bus to school. My kids just started taking the bus home from school and it's working out very well for everyone, especially me :-)

So, how did the first day bus ride go? I remember hating riding the bus, and my parents wouldn't take me, so I started walking. And it was a long way, but my mom would always say...not my problem, you COULD ride the bus...LOL

I hope you ended up getting your bills paid and then fishing...

I hope I catch you this am, before I leave. If I don't, call me.

xo

Here in ole Arkansas we've gotten 6 inches of rain and it's still coming down... should all day. The pond has already overflowed! I shouldn't complain. Trees down everywhere and alot are out of power, here and Little Rock. plus todays paper shows all those displaced people from Louisana. Go fishing while you can! auntie j

i'm kinda outta gas lately , not much up for travel or long fishin days this weekend.

Hi Soul

Thanks for dropping by the other day, you're welcome anytime!

Hope Soul Jnr got to school and back ok, my kids would love to go on the bus but I'm such a pansy I'd probably still end up following them all the way in the car just to make sure they got there safe!!!

Thanks for the teenage dishwasher offer, but i'm good in the dish washing area. Hope you don't get too much rain and the big fish start biting for you soon.

Start of school went well this week. I'm pretty much kicking my boys out the door every morning. I've definitely outgrown being a mother hen, not that I think I ever was.

Hey.....watch out! Here comes the weekend!!!!!!

The chores won't be going anywhere so I vote for fishing. Besides why make yourself sick if you can relax and stay healthy. You're family need you healthy so I say do them a favour and kick back and relax. Might be a good idea if you pay the rent first though Soul or you could be relaxing in a cardboard box and that doesn't sound too good at all :(

No post?

No party? Do you remember that commercial...I think it was for polaroid or kodak or something...James garner and his wife and I cannot remember her name..oh well, you do movies, I do commercials.

You aren't up yet, again. But I know you were up late so I'll let it slide. I may miss you, I have to get down to the hosp again, but try me when you wake up...

We're doing the bus for the first time this year, too.
Well, we were until Syd broke her arm. It's nothing serious...just a buckle fracture on the upper humerus.
Soccer is going to be the death of my girls I'm afraid.
Anyway, she complained that the bus was bumpy and made her arm hurt. It's in a sling, not a cast, so I'm pretty sure that she's not fibbing about it to get out of riding the bus. It sucks, though... her school is across town, and the whole process takes me about an hour each way.
Anyway, once her arm heals, she's back on it.
Hope you have a great day, Soul!
