the lazy souls mini update

howdy folks--
just here to say hello for now--
we just got back from fishin--
not much luck in that department today--i got one-- about a five otr six incher-- and hubby got two bass-- one smaller than mine-- and one iteeee biteee one-- and one tiny perch. he was tryin for the perch tho in real shallow water that he could see in, he was just playin with it, and caught it.

so anyhow-- that's the mornin out this way--

oh except that he also got a phone call from his mama while we were there--- seems she has been readin my blog!
OOPSY--
HI MOMMASON :))

apparently he needs to call her more often. she's been hearin things here-- that he should be tellin her. ie---- the seizure. hmmmm. that's kinda not a good way to hear about stuff like that.
or our upcoming trip to vegas--- nope-- even tho it was only recently confirmed-- she didn't know it was bein planned.

sorry mommason--
i didn't know -- that you didn't know these things.
hmmm.

i also didn't know you were readin my blog- :)
you should say hi sometimes-

so anyhow--- aside from that stuff-- even though i know better, and i know i should take some time to catch up with my blog friends-- i do believe that i will take advantage of this free time that i have, and actually go take a nap. haven't had that opportunity for a while. i know it hasn't been at all this passed week. before that, i'm not sure. but i am tired. and there's some dumb show on tv-- you all know how weekend tv is-- especially when there's a man in control of the clicker. ugh.

oh wait-- one MORE thing :)) before i go---

our talk over the fishing rods this morning?

what do y'all think about soulman havin a special column here? lol. yes for real. we could call it
"go ask Soulman"
it would be where you ask him "man questions" like when a man says he isn't thinkin about anything , what's he really thinkin about?:
and he would say "nothing"

i chose that question, cuz i actually asked him that once. and that's what he said. how freeing -- or boring-- would it be to literally not think of anything at all??? man. just for five minutes. pure heaven for me. that would be peace. dont ya think?
and they wonder why women have a harder time breaking addictions. there ya have it. women think too much. men -- well-- don't think at all , apparently. :)

ok.. i'm done male bashing.
but wouldn't that be funny? let's try it and see how it goes. and if you don't want to point out your own spouse-- you could just say why do men.. etc-- and not why does my man.. ya know?

but he did say-- he doesnt want to deal with "sensitive issues"-- like marital advice etc.
but general man questions are cool.

so i think it would be fun... we could pick his brain, and really see how a guy thinks--- or if they think. :))

he's not a dumb guy either-- he knows about politics and crap like that-- so there's a pretty broad range of stuff to talk about.

i'm kinda curious to see how it would go.

let's say-- if y'all are interested-- we'll have a go ask soulman day-- on .. Wednesday? or saturday? or both?

yall think about it, and let me know here.. so i can prepare him.. hahaha.

for now-- i'm gonnna go take a nap-- and then i will be back and run around blogtown.

happy satahday people-ettes-- and brad :)) --- and mommason lol

I think that's a great idea for Soulman to have his own column. Any day's fine with me since it's hit or miss whether I get to anyone's blogs on time. Hey, I'm first. Better hit publish quick before someone beats me to it.

Have a great weekend Soul.

It might be interesting to have some insight into the male brain. I have a close male friend who tells me most everything and I am sometimes utterly AMAZED at how their thought processes work. Saturdays with Soul-man....that may be fun but he's sure to get some "sensitive" questions...is he up for that? (he can answer those with a sense of humor). LOLOLOLOL
Have a great day and a wonderful holiday weekend. Hugs, Charlotte

"Saturdays with Soul-man" Charlotte, that's a nice catchy phrase - I like it. I have some questions in mind. Non-political and nothing to do with sex, mind you - (Soulman breaths a sigh of relief)

Jesse tried to tell me about going sun fish fishing. I'd heard of brim and crappy (spelling) but not sun fish. Jesse looked like he felt sorry for me because I'm old and dumb. You'll have to coach me re this fishing thing.

i like it !!!!
saturday with soulman --
very good
it's a go then..hahahah

isn't it just great to be first gypsy-- these days it seems.. it's almost like winning a prize! :))
i'm almost never first anymore -- i gotta get back on track.

hope all's well in aussie land--

catcha latah :))

charlooooottttte! hellooo --
haven't seen you here in a while--or it seems so anyhow. good to see you today.
and yep-- he can handle that stuff... i think it'll be fun.
i hope it doesn't fizzle out too fast.

and i too am amazed at their way of thinkin..
i think it's col he's willing to do this.

hope the rest of the weekend is good to ya :))

haha mary--
well get your questions ready for tomorrows very first
saturday with soulman-- :))
haha
i don't know why thats' so funny to me. maybe i'm just easy to please?

about the fishin thing-- what exactly is the question here?
if it's the spelling..
it's bream, and crappie.
if you are wonderin if they're good to eat? crappie is very good. and easy to catch. i've seen people catch like fifty in one day-- oh man they're yummy.

ahhh-- sun fish-- a sun fish is alot the same as perch -- i don't think they get as big .
they are usually the easiest to catch of the three- and mostly the first fish anyone ever catches when they begin to fish. usually in shallow water--in groups.(schools :))
my first fish was a sunfish--and i think smochas was too.

anyways--
there's your fishy lesson 101

have a good night-

Don't think I had a real question re fishin' Just realized that I don't know much about it. Gonna have to start to learn 'cause Jesse seems to think I'm gonna be his ticket to fish. I don't know how that happened.

I'm ready with my questions for "Saturday with Soulman." He's a good sport to do this.

fishin will be a fantastic way to spend time with jesse-- and don't you feel special being the chosen one when he has grampa that he could choose.
you go gramma !!
do you live close to a lake or pond to go to??
you would be on the bank right?
or from a dock?
i wanna go tooooooo-
is that what he wants to fish for -- sunfish? or crappie? etc...
just get some itty bitty hooks and some tiny jigs--and go for it. he'll love it. and so will you.

anyhow-- i'm curious what your questions are-- i'll be in suspense all week now. hmmmm.

:))
have a good rest o' the night-

We live about two miles from Ditto Landing on the Tennessee River. There are several creeks and ponds to fish for small stuff. As a matter of fact one runs behind Jesse's house. It's small but it has deep spots and there are - hold on to your hat - some fairly big bass there. I'll spend some time with Jesse at a lake (also close to us) when we get back from our Big Adventure. (See my blog) Remember we're close to Guntersville.

SOUL said...

hi mary-- i just got back from your place :))

i was holdin my breath (literally) when i got to "pretty big bass"
ugh...
what a lucky kid-- and his brother too-- to be so close to good fishin like that.
are they set up for bass fishin? oh man.. could you imagine you bein a part of helpin them catch their first BIG bass ! that would be a fish story for both of ya--or all three of you--whichever-

that's just cool. makes me wish my nephews were still small and close-- so i could take them fishin. we used to-- but we are much more set up for it these days. and no young'ns to take fishn here.

anyways--
have a blast on your adventure-- and have fun fishin too
you know where to come if you have any questions :))
