I second Kelly's comment. Crikey Soul...sometimes I've had to read up to 10 posts at once (why do people post so often?)on one blog cos I'm so far behind. You only need to be busy for a couple of times and bingo...you're way behind again. As long as you're okay that's all that matters.

We shopped for school supplies last night. I didn't even look at prices. So much less stressful that way. We had to buy a TI-84 graphing calculator for over $100. That hurt.

If I don't get up and moving, I sit around and get depressed and get nothing done. I understand how the hours fly when you're at the computer. I left the house at 6:40 this morning. I'm ready for the day. At home I'd be doing nothing and depressed. Of course, nothing's being done at home because I'm not there, lol.

kel-- i know-- i think we've all had to "go away for a while" at one time or another. even a few times. but for some reason.. i get the guilties. i can't like it.
but i can't seem to get caught up either-- but i will.

i fear it won't be today tho-
perhaps on the weekend? or next week?
cuz i finally found the bus stop-- and won't be drivin the child to school any--- mo! after this week... woo hoo-- that buys me lots of extra time in the day.

hope your day is a good one-

lol gypsy-- @ "crikey".. another word i love. :))

yep-- i'm ok.. hope you are too-
it is definitely hard to get up once ya fall behind too much huh?
man i hate it when this happens.

i'll be hittin your place soon.

i'm shootin for bein done or caught up with my crap here by the end o the weekend.

ooooohhhh cheryl--
i hear ya--
i haven't tallied up the total expenses to get this kid prepared for high school-- but it sure hasn't been cheap--

plus she informed me yesterday she needs one of those graphing calculators too. and OMG , i had no idea they were that expensive. i thought they wouldn't be cheap-- but no idea they'd cost 100.00. ugh. just shoot me.

wanna buy some tickets to vegas? :))
just kiddin.

anyways--- i just don't remember havein or needin anything more than a few notebooks in highschool-- and if i remember correctly ANY calculator in class was not even allowed-- much less demanded and bought by the parents-- wth do the po kids do??? do they get any kind of help with that kinda stuff? they get free lunch etc.. what if they can't buy a damn 100 dollar calculator? that's ridiculous !!!

ps-- don't be depressed-- just drink more--- :))
i'll take a margarita on the rocks-- or six.. :))

hope you have a better day today--- are you all done school shoppin.. i sure hope so-- i'm almost done- maybe after the calculator and gym clothes and shoes i think im done.

it's tough raisin a )"i'm too good for yard sale clothes kid"

that's all i ever had-- i woulda been nekkid my entire at home years if i snubbed what was offered. but noooo---

what is it whith "this" generation of parents, wanting better for their kids.

i think every single 40 something was abused-- and just goes way the hell beyond extremes to do better for their kids these days-- and all we do is create monsters.

ooohhh if i could only go ten years back in time.

ok.. pass the margarita-- i'm depressing myself. :))

hey crusty--
ya know, a cattle prod and a pack -a- smokes doesn't sound like too bad of a set of motivational tools ! ;))

craigslist isn't a bad idea either-- we did check there for the calculator thismornin--- saw some between 30-and-50--but their used. i have a hard time with used electronics like that. they can break in a week. so hell. i don't know.
overstock may work tho-- i'll have a look

I don't know what it is, but everyone is feeling a bit beat lately. What's going on? I can't seem to keep up with life, perhaps it is the starting of school for many of us? Soul, you are far, FAR from a loser. Losers do not find themselves surrounded by friends.....Hang in there baby!!

CRAP!
you know what happened last night while i was commenting?
i did not forget you--
i literally fell asleep when i got to you-- know how i woke up? it's embarrassing-- but i will tell you anyhow--
i was ASLEEP--- holdin a burnt up cigarette-- hunched over my laptop-- in BED-- with soulman standin next to me-- takin a PICTURE!!!
like it was some kind of evidence to show me that i was gonna kill us someday !

way to make a gal feel bad huh???

so anyhow-- here i am answerin your comment-- and lettin ya know that i almost burnt up my bed and my house -- and apparently mu family while attempting to do so last night-- uh oh!

sounds like you're ahead of yourself too-- but i hope you really do have a fun weekend with the kids--and not end up pullin your hair out-- or theirs---

my plan here is to get some help gettin this house cleaned up--- i finally found some time to get a good start on the kitchen...and even cooked a decent meal-- not much cookin been goin around here in quite some time. hell we're gonna go bankrupt if the goin out to eat doesn';t stop soon. at least the every day kinda thing. ugh.

anyhow-- happy friday-- is it? and happy weekend.. 3 days -- maybe i;ll get to fish some if i get caught up-- i sure am hopin to get caught up and have a smoother week--and get the kid on the bus next week.
life will be much better that way-- i hope.

hey angie-- it does seem that way huh angie-- a lot more people havin to spend hours out shoppin that they normally dont-- and then they're worn out-- when they normally wouldn't be.. cuz they aren't shoppers. it's just a snowball effect-- why does shopping have to be so damn exhausting.

i'm never shoppin again... next year, maybe she'll have friends who drive-- and she can go with them?? maybe.
maybe i'll just think about it.

i hate to shop. i have never shopped so much in my life. what happened to fifth grade shopping when they just wore what ya bought-- now they just say-- i'm NOT wearing THAT-- and it's waste your money-- or return it-- cuz ya KNOW they WONT wear it. UGH.

i really really DO feel for the moms with three or four kids in junior and high school. i just can't imagine the hell they are in right now.

anways--- yours are young-- and boys-- are they this difficult yet???

happy weekend!

and yep i am happy for mmy friends who still stop by-- i'm gonna TRY to get around today- not much out of the house crap to do today -- thank God. so if i get it done early-- i just may take the rest of the day off--- and play blog catch -up--..

i hope to.

SOUL said...

thanks DD-- so it is like a little helper person huh?
yep i need me one-- or two.
got any?
:))
happy weekend.

We gotta work on you talking nice to yourself :( You are NOT a loser. You should not speak to yourself that way hun. Be kind to yourself and speak to yourself in a more postive manner. For example " I didnt get everything I would have liked done today but I did get alot done, all the shopping and that is so much better than I was doing a month or so ago"
