clownin around with the fishies ---

hello again....

oh yuk.. that just put that 100 year old Lionel richie song in my head that i have always hated. what happened to my redneck greeting? the good ole howdy folks-- or somethin...
oh well.. what's done is done... at least it's not jingle bells or "the sun'll come out
to- mor- roooowww."

LOL... can y'all tell yet that i'm just TRYIN to drive you insane?

ok, anyways... i just thought i would jump in here real quick with my fishin report o' the day-- just in case you care :))

and jamie/simonsays.. might-- cuz when i got back, she had left a note , sayin for me to catch her a big one. ( i have like NO memory-- she might have said giant-- hell , i don't know.. but she did want a big fish-- so, i thought i'd post him for her.)

and, i figured-- well hell, while i was at it, why not just post em all... so i did.

i lost more than i caught today. that has never happened to me at the pond before. lakes-- yes. the pond..never. i actually saw three of them.. watched them shake loose, and flop off right there before my very eyes... it was sickening. we're talkin two pound bass. just enough to make me barf. ok, not barf. cry. ok, not cry. mad. yep, it made me mad. and i ended up fishin way too long because of it.

but anyhow--- in order to not be mad and in a bad mood while fishin, i was actin silly when i would catch a fish. as you can see--

i had a really good time, i just wore myself down .. it was real cloudy and windy-- but not so windy that it made me mad... it was really nice out today. i couldn't force myself to leave til i was in physical agony. that's pretty bad isn't it? but hey-- it was fun.

if i would have changed to a sharper hook sooner-- i just might have had those three i lost-- i lost them in the first twenty minutes i was there-- i woulda had six like these...or bigger. sickening, i say .

here's your fish Jamie !!!

i liked the pictures with the fish! I have not fished since I was very young. I do not think that physically I am stable enough who knows that I might end up in the river...that is something i want to avoid...ha ha ha...yesterday when mom and i went to the river yesterday to watcht the boats and people...one guy went over the fence and walked in the river and he was not fishing. i also saw such a cutie little girl about 5 who carried her pole and you could tell that she and her siblings were so exited to go fish. i hope that you have a good rest of your day soul and thanks for stopping by my blog.

I didn't fish today... But I did watch some people fish. Does that count? ha! They caught a little shark about 20 inches long... just a baby really.

Maybe the Captain will take me fishing tomorrow...........deep sigh.

mornin andrew--
i don't know how safe your area there is -- but i fish alone most of the time at the pond-- never on the boat-- but at the pond i fish alone most of the time-- it took a while to get used to it-- but i like it now.
if you don't want to fish alone-- maybe your dad would fish wish you???
hope you have a good day--

MM

how ya doin today--
good to hear you've been gettin out-- the river and stuff stuff sounds fun.
i let my physical stuff and fear of it, keep me locked up for the longest time.. i'm talkin several years. there's still alot of times i need to stay home for not feeling well.. or because of pain, or whatever--

but really you'll never know your limits til you try them.. it's the fear that you're afraid of-- not so much the pain etc.

that ole line about "no fear but fear itself" .. may have some truth in it.
cuz once i actually got up and got back out there-- i found that i could love it again.

maybe you can too.

you don't have to go fish tournaments-- you could bring a chair and a crappie rod and sit on the bank in the sun--- you just don't know what sunshine did just in itself.
in fact.. when i first started gettin back out there-- i began by just watchin hubby fish for the first month or so-- then i got my license .. but once i started fishin-- it hasn't stopped. that was almost a year and a half ago -- after not fishin for almost two years maybe. just cuz i thought i "couldn't. or shouldn't -- or whatever.

do what makes you happy. if you have to start by watching the little kids-- then start there-- never know what it may turn into-- but at least it isn't stuck in the house. alone. growing pale and lonely. ya know?

that kinda lifestyle makes a person unhealthy-- it really does.

anyhow-- i know i'm babbling.. but several of my peeps watched the transition in me -- i even posted before and after pics of my dark eyed sick lookin self only a couple months before i started gettin out fishin.. and then after i had fished for a month or two. the difference was really amazing..and so was my entire attitude.

anyhow-- i'm not sayin that you should fish.. just sayin.. don't consider yourself a prisoner to your body just yet-- ok?

it's not time to claim defeat just yet for you.

have a great day-

bwa hahahaha.

or else they would be in a deep freeze by now . poor lil fellas.

hope you have a perfect first day at work today-

surely you must KNOW --
no part of my tongue has EVER touched ANY part of a fishes mouth
inside or out !!!

it's an illusion!!!

but yes i do LOVE my fish.. they make me happy.
:))

have a great day---

ac-- i REALLY hope you get to fish today!!!!!

if you do you better post--or at least email me a pic--ok--

and i hope you are havin fun fun fun...

do you have a pic of the shark? how cool. was it a sand shark.. is that what they call those?

anyhow have a great day --

how long does hubby stay home? did you say already?
you'll get used to my memory if you hang around long enough. i can forget stuff in two minutes or less-- it's scary sometimes. but it happens. alot. :(( anyhow-- enjoy--
and get a big'n--

SOUL said...

hey there blur--

nope no fish - n- chips here--
we catch n release--

we haven't kept a fish in years around here. they all go back in the lake. alive.

we only asked one guy the other night if he wanted the big ole catfish - he didn't-- so we didn't bother to ask anyone else.

catfish are just too gross to clean.. :)) we figured no one else would want to touch -- or skin him either-- so we let him go too.

so anyhow-- i think if we actually went to fish to eat-- we'd keep em.. like crappie, or trout or walleye, especially..

but all bass, number one-- go back. and that's what we mainly fish for. obviously. :))

happpy tuesday!

ola smocha

hubby wasn't home very long-- that sucks!

anyhow-- yep nice fish, if i do say so myself. i bet robert would be jealous over some of the fish io've caught this passed year, ya think?

i did my cruisin early a.m yesterday, didn't make it back around after that. i'll go around again in a little while.

i actually slept til almost 5 today-- even tho i set my clock for 6 :(( (not counting the time i woke up at 222-- new number dum dum dum dum.--- but i did go back to sleep this time.. phew. )

anyhow POD-- errands, bills, house, laundry, same shit different day. it never ends ya know. just some days there's less of it-- IF i'm lucky!
i also really NEED a haircut-- got that Bozo flair thang goin on-- and i can't like it!
and, of course-- i would like to fish a little before it gets hot. yesterday it didn't get hot til after 12-- which was perfect! and if that happens today it would be even better-- seein as i wouldn't be able to go til after the child leaves for school at 830. yesterday i think i left around 630 or so. til maybe 1230? long time on your feet-- well my feet. owwch.

anyhow-- that's about it for here..and YOU???

latah...

Great fish - don't worry about the ones that got away - you'll get them next time. It's good to see you looking so relaxed and content. I love being on the water, but I've never fished enough to know how. If Harry ever starts fishing again, I might learn. The grandsons love to fish - they catch brim in the creek behind their house and think they are champion fishermen.

SOUL said...

mary-- i think you are the type of gal who would really like to fish-- not for anything yukky like catfish-- but maybe crappie or perch, trout etc-- the non slimy icky kind.
i would include bass-- but i think you'd get tired of the constant standing, casting and reeling-- it becomes work pretty fast sometimes .

there's a lot of times i would much rather sit on a bank somewhere and just throw my line in and sit on my butt for a few hours-- i just can't get soulman to fish that way. and if i'm gonna invest my time that way-- i'm gonna eat the catch !!! :)) i don't think he'd appreciate cleanin a bucket full of fish that he had nuthin to do with bringin home, ya know? :))

so anyhow-- give it a try sometime.. you could always come fish with me :))

hope your day is agood one today!

The good time is what it's all about anyway, but a big huge fish never hurts does it? NICE!

That fish is really eyeballing you in that second to last pic. They have such creepy cold eyes. I really don't like fish unless they are lightly grllled or crumbed on a plate accompanied by a nice fresh salad. But hey Soul I'm glad you like them and if it makes you happy, then I say go get em girl.

SOUL said...

PORTIA--
i am thinkin about goin to get one real soon-- hopefully they're bitin this mornin-- the weather isn't so great--so we will see.

and GYPSY--

i catch more fish than i eat-- and as much as i do love to eat-- fishin is much more FUN!!!
