well hell---

i have been up for almost three hours already-- and made my rounds-- well most of em anyhow--
seems everyone is sleeping--or perhaps out of town maybe ? but nobody is cruisin around..at least not around here.
sooooo... all's quiet on the soul - front-- so i think i'm gonna go fishin!
i've already drank almost a pot of coffee, and done some chores even.
not much else to do... unless i wanna actually get down to the scrubbin of floors and toilets-- and y'all know i just don't even wanna go there. at least NOT at 630 a.m. --- hell, i never wanna go there.. lol.
anyhow-- it is on my list-- but not this early.

i do seem to be getting somewhat caught up on my horrid list. it has done nuthin but grow and piss me off, and make me feel worthless-- for weeks, but over the last week or so, i have managed to pick away at it, little by little and actually am beginning to see some progress. and that makes me feel much better about things.

well-- except my blog. man - o -man. it's a sad state of affairs around here as far some of these posts go aint it? i just don't know what to say about that. not much more to say than i already have. all i can do is try to be better about it. anyone whose been around a while knows by now-- when i don't feel good, or don't do much-- the writing suffers-- big time.
i hate it as much as you do. so i'm workin on it. and i'm workin on me too. just tryin to get myself to feeling better. and thinkin better. my frame of mind ya know. i think all the recent med issues have once again got me all stressed out or something-- then made me all tired -- or something. then all my important things.. like home and business have been neglected.. then it pressured me mentally-- and you know how all that snowballs a person.
or maybe just me? but anyhow-- i'm sorry if i have been too whiney-- or nonsensical around here. i know some of these posts could have been half as long and said as much as they needed to.

and as for y'all.. you know what they say about good intentions....
i try tho-- dammit. one day i get to everyone-- the next i get to one or two-- or none at all.
it sure isn't personal.. and i hope it doesn't bother any of you as much as it bothers me.

so anyhow---
the sun is up--the weather is fine-- and i am outta heah!

happy monday to you all...

tell me what your plans are for today!
whatever you're doin-- be safe and have FUN!

A perfect day to be fishing, huh? I've never fished, how's that? I'd love to have you teach me.

It's been a good weekend with Em. She's been in a good mood. She'll have to do chores and homework today and won't be happy about that. I'm not going to push hard..and try to follow Mary's advice.

School's out on the 6th here. How about in your state?

Don't worry about not keeping up with me. I regularly have to read half a dozen of your posts at once because I am always so far behind. I do get here eventually though and that's all that really matters. Life just gets in the way sometimes that's all.

Have a fantastic day Soul.

I'm waiting for the Captain who will roll in here any minute after 23 days away working. We will probably cook out later.... just us and the girls, a few friends and possibly a neighbor or two. Likely it will be hot dogs and hamburgers on the menu. (You KNOW I'd rather be fishing!) Don't worry about the blog thing. I, for one, like the way you write, what you write, and how you write it. Have a great time fishing and don't let the big one get away! ac

Your posts are fine and I always look forward to reading about your day. Medical "stuff" can put you in the ditch without even tryin' and sometimes it's hard to climb out. Just take it one day at a time and fish every chance you get. Hope you catch a big one today.

It's Memorial Day.
I don't want to do a thing.
Not even lift a finger.
I just want to sit here and rot!

Forgot to give you more info on Chemex: http://www.chemexcoffeemaker.com/

I got the 10-Cup glass carafe for $37.90, 3 packs of unbleached filters for a total of $22.50 (don't ask why I got 3 packs), 1 glass "cover" to keep the coffee warm $5.50 and a good cleaning brush for $12.00. The whole thing plus shipping came up to $89.85 - cheaper than most coffee makers on the market! :)

The picture shown is the whole coffee maker, no machine - but unlike French Press, it doesn't leave any sediment at all, the trick is the Chemex filter - which is really thick and solid. Normal filter can't do the job that well - that must be why I got 3 packs of their filters! :)

I have a kettle - got from Costco many years ago. To make a good cup of coffee, place the filter on top of the carafe, add coffee powders - or in my case, add nutmeg and cinnamon too, then boil some water. Once it is boiled, remove it and let it sit for a minute, then pour a small quantity to wet the coffee... then pour in whatever water volumn you desire.

You can fill up the whole carafe and store it in the fridge. If you have electric stove, you can get their special wire grid ($6) to reheat the carafe. But I've a gas range, so I just pour out whatever I need and heat it up in a microwave. It's easy.

Results - you get really clear, strong, non-bitter, residue-free coffee which will make you fall in love with coffee once again :)

hey cheryl--

it is funny to me how many peeps have never fished. i have fished since i was a kid.

i don't think i found a true love for it tho til i was about 14 and really had an opportunity to spend a lot of time with it. but i do just love it . as you know.

and i would love to teach you how to fish--- come visit me sometime... i know the perfect place to go to learn-- you're almost guaranteed a big bass.

(i say "almost".. cuz i think i promised jamies hubby he's catch a fish there-- and none of us did that day. but it is rare to not get at least one over there. i think it depends on the weather a lot of the time.)

anyhow-- i'm glad you are having a good weekend with your girl -- i haven't seen much of mine--- she's had company every night .

mary always has good advice -- i keep tellin her to write a book.. i'd buy it -

school is out here on the third--

whoopie :))

do you go on any vacations in the summer?

we don't usually-- not real ones. we do the mini vacation thing like three or four days, and close to home. we only had one real one a week long once.

well anyhow- that was a long reply-- hope you don't miss it--

You know, nobody's gonna forget about you around here! I understand the anxiety that comes with getting behind, but just look at me- I catch up and fall behind again every snigle week and I finally decided to just roll with it. It's just the way it is. This year anyway.
I went to a family BBQ yesterday. The in laws. No further comment. But hey, about OUR UPCOMING BBQ....tell me where you could get to - the NW corner of TN, the southern part of MO, or the northern part of AR??? If we landed on an actual place and time, I would MAKE it happen. And we could probably get quite a few others from the lower 48 to come too:)
