still don't know nuthin

well, it's still a wait and see game. but the doc did seem to know what he was doing.. for once.

i have a MRI and a EEG scheduled for monday. no driving before then..and maybe after. it's wait and see.

it's possible that it was the flu etc, that caused the seizure-- but it's possible that it's more. but i aint goin there. yet.

the guy did at least understand that i AM in pain, and di rx some pain meds-- unlike the other docs i asked for meds. geesh. wth is it with docs these days?? i asked him once, he asked where it hurt, i told him , and he wrote a very generous script. phew.

he also explained why i am sleeping so much-- basically my brain exploded. not really, but it overloded itself or something like that. it just kinda shortcircuited or something ..i dont remember how he said it...but it should be back to normal soon. either way-- i am pretty tired again right now, and about to go to bed. we have only been home about half an hour. :((

surely this will end ?

anyhow.. that's my update.. i won't have any results prolly til tuesday?? not sure.

well.. i hope you all are havin good days---
i'll check around on ya after my nap! :))

it is such a relief to hear that for once you have a doctor you can trust and have some confidence in. the sleeping expl makes sense, i figured it was some such aftermath. i am very hopeful for you, but as you said, it's a wait and see thing. so try not to worry (i know, i know, i'm just sayin) sleep when tired and hey, happy thursday! sending love + prayers..
:)

Ahhhh pain meds=good day! LOL! Take care and I am happy you have a Dr that is helping. Some really CAN be stingy with the meds but I am sure for a good reason as so many people abuse them these days!

At least you like the doc. I do hope you start to get some answers--and that they're answers you can live with. Seizures are scary. Take care! :)

Oh I know how that constant need for sleep feels. Thats what every day is like for me especially in Summer.

I'm sure either one of the MRI or EEG's will find out what is happening Soul. If you're a little bit claustrophobic make sure you ask for a blindfold although it should be ok cos you'll only have your head in there. When I have them my whole body is in there for an hour and it freaks me out a bit.

Glad you got some meds at last. Just do yourself a favour and rest, rest, rest until you go for your tests. Hope you have a good day.

omg...FINALLY, a doctor who BELIEVES you actually have pain and you're not going to run down to the nearest street corner and sell your pills to the next addict that comes along! That's what I feel like whenever I ask for pain pills...the doctors never make it easy. But I know its not THEIR fault...its all the addicts out there. But they need to understand that there REALLY ARE people who are in pain and NEED the pain meds for just that! Glad you finally got some and hope you can finally get some relief. Keep us posted...prayers are going up for you soul-friend. Get plenty of rest!!! Charlotte

The good news is that you seem to have a good doctor. The bad is still not knowing. You will soon. Hope the rest of the day was good.

A good doctor that listens and believes is worth his weight in gold. It's hard to wait for results but in the meantime sleep all your body wants to sleep. It is the healing that you need for whatever the next step may be. My love and prayers are with you.

hiya ALL--
yes, i did kinda like this doctor-- he was easy to understand.. he listened to us, asked the right questions etc etc.. and the most important-- he didn't blow me off when i asked for meds.. he said that the seizure was a long one, and it was like i had been through an intense workout. and he also didn't sound like he would automatically yank my license-- if the tests come back ok.. i may get my license back. not lose it for six months regardless. if i do get it back, i will be careful-- not drive kids etc .. but i do have things i need to do ya know?
anyhow-- thanks for comin around...
this is just the weirdest thing.
i just hope thats all it is-- just a thing.
hope YOU all are ok too-

Several months ago, my friend (who's 30 yrs old) suddenly had a seizure while sleeping. Luckily her mom was sleeping next to her and quickly sent her to the hospital. She's also not allowed to drive for 6 months and I think the docs can't really say what happened and whether it will happen again.

Apparently her nerves are the kind that appear bunched up together in her brain, so he's more vulnerable to such attacks. She's asked to rest alot and stay out of stressful situations. Other than that, her life is normal now.

Hi there! I've seen you at so many blogs I visit, I figured I would stop in and say hi. Sorry to hear you are in pain. I know a thing or two about that. And about doctors who won't help with it.

See you later!

hey blur-- did they find the nerve thing on an MRI? what did they call that? did they medicate her? that's weird? did they diagnose it as anything?

i gotta say-- i am still just still surprised and shocked about it-- and HOPING it won't happen again. but it's hard not to worry that it won't.
i am anxious for the test results. apparently the cat scan at ER was ok.. maybe the MRI will show more?? and of course the EEG will be a totally different animal.. so we will see. i just want answers...
today sushi yawned a strange yawn..and soulman thought i was havin a seizure--everyone is walking on eggshells here-- i do not want us all to live this way. it was like this with my brother-- and not a good way to live.
ugh.

take care-- hope you are having a good day/night
