i was just lookin for a photo online to go along with my coffee/ tired/ bitchy topic, and the above link is what i came across... a long with the above photo. i was very pleased with both.
it sure makes me not want to complain. well, for now. y'all know complaining is my nature :)) i wouldn't know how to act if i wasn't complaining about something.
so anyhow, to recap my extremely BO-RING day......
i sat --- a LOT...
and i WAITED.. ALOT
and my mood grew angrier by the minute
and then the HOUR
and i cleaned house
i ate for the sake of stuffing my face for the first time in a long time
and i sat some more
then i got heartburn
and i got TIRED
and hubby went to work at like 2
and i got more tired
and i got more angry
and soulkid came home from school
and i had probably checked the clock three hundred times throughout the day by now
and the homeowner called to see if the a/c guys had come-- and i said NO--
even though, i expected them by NOON
they DID finally show up ---- AT 540 PM !
soulman got home at 550 pm
he is cooking on the grill, and workin on our printer
i am sittin on my ass drinkin coffee
the a/c guys are workin on the a/c
soulkid is primpin on her hair
and THAT is life in soulland on this tuesday..
what happened in yours???
i told ya i just can't NOT complain.. even when i try not to

Hon, Give a heads up to the homeowner. We don't roll a truck after 5:00 with out charging time and a half. (we're paying are guys time and a half..) If she called and bitched they may take that as license to charge her. Hopefully the little b@stards getting it up in running tonight. If you get this in time you or soulman should go to the attic and check out the work before they leave. Check where they have the condensate line draining and DO NOT SIGN the work order/invoice. They need to get that from homeowner if they have to have it. - sorry to ramble - You seem to know this stuff - just wanna help.

it's about ten after 9 now, they left maybe twenty minutes ago or so-- the air seems to be working -- for now-- but for some reason-- they seem to think there may still be a leak-- hmmm.. why am i NOT surprised???
they say they will be back on thursday to check. peachy. just peachy.
they would be back tomorrow but i have an appointment so no can do.
anyhow-- about the price? we already warned them about that-- and how our guy would be better and more reliable, and all that jazz-- they chose these guys... so more power to em. if they get charged two grand for this job and God knows what else -- well.. they should learn a lesson. you'd think. the other guy had the parts-- and a time estimate-- and really a decent price for what it is. but-- we've been through this before--obviously they haven't. so of course it sounds like a lot of money at first.
anyhow... we'll just wait and see for now.
next on my list is to get back to the rats--and just hope the a/c continues to work.

Geez, I had no idea getting the a/c fixed would be so complicated.
My day, well, back to my emotionally draining client. Whew! The day started out with her threaten to arrest me for donating her clothes yesterday, though she hadn't worn them in decades! Definitely one of my much more interesting projects.

That story on the other site was good. It's a good concept. But it doesn't make the crappy times any easier.

I liked that story you linked to Soul. After much pondering about whether I'm a carrot, an egg or coffee beans, i came to the conclusion that I'm a tea bag and I'll let you work that out for yourself.

and yes no a/c is HELL.. but really we did get really lucky-- so far--- we only had one really horrible day in the heat-- that we sweated and stuck to the furniture :))
