does it take a degree to be a weather man?

and i think i always mix up weather and whether . so i guess i could never have that job regardless.
but anyhow... for the passed (another word i get wrong alot = passed-past) hmmm.. yep this is a vocab lesson.
soooo--- yep-- two days worth of-- oh we are gonna freeze to death, freezing rain, polar blast, blah blah blah--- they even sent the road workers home early yesterday so they could go back in at midnight last night. HA! and people wonder why they call us rednecks????
well.. you might be a redneck if- you panic at the sight of a dropping temperature gauge . good Lord.
so anyhow-- here i am, watchin the weather on tv.. ... the last thing hubby said before he went to get ready for work? "they'll say "we dodged the bullet this time"... seems that's what they always say here, when they warn us of these things. so.. five minutes after he leaves the room... what do they say on tv...
"we dodged the bad weather predicted"... (or some damned thing)... but really. how smart do ya have to be to GUESS at that crap? hmmm...it's cold. it's damn cold. ugh.
sooo... all day yesterday i locked myself inside.. thinking it was like 5 degrees outside... come to find out-- it got up to 40--- which , mind you-- is still bone chilling to ME. (oh shut up all you snow queens, i'm a whimp and i know it) :)) but still...
but anyhow-- now they're tryin to cover their mistake and say we are gonna get all the cold and ice today--- oh right. so, now i'm debating on weather or would that be whether-- :)) --- i want to go outside today...and maybe get food in this damned place-- or continue to eat high dollar , high fat, nasty ass to go food. that i hate. like pizza... and hamburgers. altho-- wendys' chili and fries were good last night. and sushi did enjoy the calzone that hubby dropped on the floor the night before. this is just getting ridiculous. i must shop. who wants to come be my shopper?

ok.. well.. enough babble.. not much to write about when you don't leave the house.

perhaps i will come up with something later.

hope you all have happy days---
you know i will try

Well ,I am NOT one of the snow queens. I am a south seas princess.:)

Today our HIGH is going to be a bone chilling 33 degrees. So, I am NOT leaving this house today!
The mere thought bores me to tears ...but that is way too cold for ME! It hurts Gilbert.

Go to the store! fast food is swill. :)

love me

It's 18 degrees here this morning. I'm cold, too. The weather guesser predicts a high of 43. If he guessed correctly maybe I'll go to the food store, too. Take a deep breath and dive into the day.

Ok, girls, look. You guys are gonna go get in the car to go shopping. I'm gonna trot my ass several blocks to the subway, stand on a cold and windy platform, then get off the train, and walk several more blocks to the office. I will freeze my tatas off--it was 21 degrees when I left the house, with the wind a-blowin'. Wah!! Oh, then i will ROAST in my office, because they just cannot seem to regulate the heat properly. grrr.

But, hey, it's Friday. No complaining for me :)

well peeps.. it's OBVIOUS who lives in the south, and who does not-- isn't it...

crusty shovels snow-- rebecca WALKS blocks in NY.. OMG---

NONONONONO
just KEEL me. the thought makes me shiver. oooh shiver me timbers even.

tatas.. haha.

i heard another funny word today-- but will not share it-- but it was quite unique i think, and one i have never heard before---

so anyhow---

do stay warm.....

and i am still debating on staying in or going out today-- i'll let ya know IF i see sunshine.

have great days all...

ps-- if someone in the south says they have the "tatas".. haha... to go shopping-- i just MIGHT go too. so who is it???

Can you shop on line where you live and get your food delivered? I've read about that twice today in other places. Might be worth looking into. My hubby usually does the shopping but that's all going to change when he goes away to work. I will only need enough bread and fillings in the house to make sandwiches anyway so what do I care? Only kidding.....

I made a mean shepherds pie the other day and the family LOVED it. Even I liked it and I generally hate my cooking....lol.

Have a great day Soul and stay warm. I am about to go to bed and try to sleep when it is way too warm. I so miss snuggling up under the blankets. Sigh.

Soul-Go shopping! 40 is downright balmy girl!!! You don't even need to wear a jacket when it's 40. :)

Rebecca said...

Oh, come on, Soul, please share your new word...ppplllleeeeeeezzzzeeeee????

And I can't afford to freeze my tatas off...the girls are small enough as it is!

y'all are makin me laugh today--- i really really need it ya know.

gypsy-- i don't think i have made a shepherds pie before... send me the recipe??? i've seen them before-- but not sure what all's in it. looks yummy tho-- how do ya make it not all greasy-- well.. prolly good meat. hmmm. dumb question.

anyhow-- all i will say--- is jamie said "the word"
now go make her say it LOL

maybe y'all can get her to laugh today-- we know she needs a good one.
:))
sorry pal-- O-X-< :))
you like him don't you?

SOUL said...

oh...
no gypsy-- i cannot have groceries delivered here-- i WISH though. that would be wonderful! expensive-- but a true joy. :))

and JESS-- a balmy 40 eh?
i know-- you and jamie would surely kill or die for 40-- but really-- it is COLD for me , and my bones. sorry-- but i wasn't born for this shit. i think my dad had this kinda cold blooded illness too-- he always lived in places like puerto rico--and florida and such -- oh wait-- he lived in boston, and new york, too-- for work, but as soon as he could-- he got the hell out of there.

but anyhow-- nope 40 aint balmy to me-- gimme 80 any day!

26 degrees here in ole arkansas now. It started sleeting at 9am and has continued with sleet and freezing rain since! but 2morrow will be in 50's and sunday 60's so it will melt> they closed schools 1015 since we have alot of country roads that ice up fast! I'm trying to keep the fireplace going since that's the only heat we use!

SOUL said...

Like you, I really hate the cold! I can't even stand the air con in the room at night. When the kids fall asleep, I quietly turn off and they'll get up and turn it back on again. I can't imagine living in a temperate country like yours! Brrr

SOUL said...

blur-- what's the coldest it gets over there usually???
i swear, i'm movin!!!
the older i get-- the COLDER i get. i hate it.

i remember having heater wars with my dad in law years ago when we lived with them. he hated it on, but soulkid was 3-- and i didn't want her to get sick-- okay okay--i was cold too-- but i'd get up and change it, then he'd get up and change it-- then in the morning we would fight about it-- and the cycle continued til we funally moved out.

fun stuff huh? :))

i think I've told you about our forecaster Randy Wright...who we nicknamed Randy Wrong.
We've had unseasonably warm weather here over the past 2 days.
Have I gone outside to enjoy it?
Nope, I've been catching up on sleep since baby is with adoptive parents this weekend.
I'm ready for some real food, too.
All we've eaten lately is takeout crap.
I love Subway and Jimmy John's sandwiches, but everything else...blah!!!@

SOUL said...

hi E--
never heard of jimmy johns-- but did get a quiznos sub the other day that tasted like they dropped it on the floor!
blech.

good nick for the weather man...
