howdy peeps---
i would say guten morgen to ya--
but i actually remember the 'good ole days' when i'd be draggin my ass to bed right about now. of course, i don't think any one of the group of 'us' do that anymore. ugh. isn't aging just loads of FUN?
i just don't know how i ever did it. work til 4 or 5 pm.. party til 2 -- after party til 3 or so-- 'sleep' til 5 or 6 -- drag my ass in to work at 7 -- and do it allll over again the next day. and here i am, wonderin my my body and mind are worn out???
that kinda seems to be a stupid question now that i think about it.
i did that for yeeeeears. know what? i did it , knowing , what i was doing to my body too. i wonder if i was a secretary or had some other 'cushy ' job though -- if it would be any different. i doubt it. i prolly woulda just got busted for bein a drunk a lot sooner than i did :O . bleh. but hey.. i bet my back wouldn't be so bad. it'd prolly be my legs though .. from wearin freakin heels or somethin. just can't win can ya?
can ya tell i'm bitchy this mornin? well, hell -- it's flippin 3 somethin in the mornin. i woke up every twenty minutes all night long. i finally gave up at 2:45. then the coffee pot had fits. what is it with me and coffee pots? i go through freakin coffee pots like damn toilet paper around here!!! i'm just gonna start buyin the el cheapo mr coffee ones if they're gonna be disposable !!! i bet we need a new pot every 7 or 8 months. other people have pots they've used for five years and they're just fine.
the one we got as a wedding gift-- i swear it lasted about 12 years! obviously- they don't make those anymore. the one we have now is at least # 3 in a year and a half. and if i don't have a new one by the end of the weekend? i will scream !!!
(suggestions??) -- oh, that would be for good coffee pots, NOT mental institutions :))--
so, anyways, on a happier note --- Jitterbug comes home today. yippee! the vet called yesterday, and said she came through surgery just fine. i like that about our vet. every time one of our babies goes in they call and let us know how they are. they understand that these are peoples babies, not just 'animals'.
she is sooo fat though. i wonder if that will make it harder on her, as far as healing goes. like walking etc ya know? that much more weight on her little feet etc. she's just not as graceful as Spot. you can tell Spot hurts some when she walks, but she can kinda take her weight off of her front paws a little. i don't know if jitty will be able to do that. i hope she does alright.
as far as Spot goes? she's doin perfect still --- for anyone worried about de-clawing an older cat-- or any cat-- if they're ruinin your crap, and it's them or your stuff -- so far - so good. and yep -- i do regret waiting this long cheryl (? i think it was you). i do. i have put this off for years, and it has cost me lots of money and 'stuff'! -- not to mention mental anguish, and stress.
what else???? not a lot. still no word from my cop. and i haven't called him either. maybe next week i'll give him a call. but i really think it's over. i don't know what to do. i don't want to dwell on this, or have some big resentment for the rest of my life. i need to just let it go. maybe.
oooohhh i just got a big ole whiff of dog pooh !!!! eevee is the only one loose. i already had her outside-- if she did that in the house-- you don't even wanna know!!
anyhow-- i guess that's about it outta me . i will pick up my el gato about 8 or so. i will let ya know how she is doin.
other than that-- i'm just bein a big ole baby lately. at this point... i do NOT recommend this rhizotomy thing to anyone! the other day the dr reminded me "it does get worse before it gets better." --- oooh i'm sick of hearin that line!
and also-- she said -- there is a four week window.
so. perhaps i still have some hope left. y'all if this does happen to heal up the way it's supposed to-- i 'could' go 6 months to a year without any pain! so i'm still trying to stay positive on this. it is sooo hard though. a person can be in pain for only so long before they turn into the bitch from hell ya know? well, that or become the biggest crybaby in the world. right now, i'm somewhere in the middle.
obviously-- it's grabed hold of my mood, and sleep at this point-- what's next???
haelP meeeeee
happy weekend peeeps

Hahahaaa...Cavuto??Hahaa...Love the baby carriage shot! These are some well taken care of pets!! Glad you got to make it today!! Love these!!!hughugs
I hate being awake like you have been, most of the night. It's been that way for me lately, too. I have been lying there, trying to go back to sleep and that's awful, too. Pain sure does mess with sleeping, doesn't it? Ack...
I'm happy to hear that your kitties are doing well. It's so hard to know whether to have them declawed or not. I feel lucky that both of mine had been done by the time I got them. How does your sis manage with the claws?
Happy weekend. Feel better! :) xo
Just in time for the challenge! Love your shots -some cute pets you've got! The stroller is creative! Love it!
Love all your adorable pets!
Gracious, is Eevee a belgian malinois?! That was our faithful pooch for 12 years! Wonderfully intelligent and devoted dogs!
your post is very entertaining. i hope you don't make a habit of NOT sleeping enough. your pets are lovely!
I pray for you to sleep more. How frustrating. Love the photos! The baby carriage is too funny. Love the one of Sushi jumping, she's a beauty.
Great pictures! About your coffee pot...I used to go through coffee pots like that until I got a water softner. Now they last for years. If you don't have soft water, make sure you get some of that cleaner that comes in an envelope (they sell it by the filters in the grocery store) and use it once a week. You can use vinegar to clean the pot but LORD I hate the smell of vinegar so I get this stuff, which has no odor.
Glad your kitties are doing well after their 'claw-ectomy'. I never had my cat de-clawed and she never ruined anything, but she went outside. (she didn't use a litter box either) I used to see her sharpening her claws on tree trunks.
Jitterbug rules that household and the fridge hmmmm? :-) Super wonderful pictures Soul, I wub em!
hi..they are so lovely..hv a nice weekend..
donna-- apparently you are familiar with the name? get this-- she also has an "Oreilly" !!! haha.
jamie--
it's awful. but i just try to get thru-- like you i spose. what can ya do right? ugh.
last night wasn't awful for me-- hope you had a better night too-
as for my sises cats-- only two are de-clawed-- she had bad probs with one of them, so when they got cavuto the didn't do his claws-- but he has lot's of toys and stuff and doesn't seem to scratch on stuff he's not sposed to-- maybe cuz the others don't?? dunno. maybe she's just lucky?
xo
hi Tes--
welcome to the nut-house :))
creative just isn't the word... i don't know what the word IS -- i found it just funny i think. he does love that thing though.
hi gardener--
the top three are mine-- i just can't see myself strollin a cat. haha.
maybe down the road a bit though.. me and sushi with a baby carriage, hah
happy sunday-
donna--
YES- good eye!
eevee is a belgian melanois-
most folks don't know the difference between them and a shepherd.
she is a great dog. unfortunately-- she's gettin kinda old.
i had no idea she was like 8 - already when hubby got her. :((
she's about 10 now, and he thinks he saw her chasin
'invisible mice' the other night-- whilst diggin up my pretty flower-bed!
eegads.
hi cherie-
welcome to the funny farm-
sleeping-- not sleeping-- it comes and goes. right now it's a big pain tho., so thanks.
thanks for comin by--
mmoooo-haaaaa
if you prayed-- it worked-- i slept til SIX! thank you!
sushi was 'dancin' that's her favorite way to 'beg'.. she's a clown - dog...all she needs is a tu-tu.
and a sign
will dance for food!
she weighs 19 pounds! ugh
howdy charlotte-
about the pot-- or pot-s,
ugh
i don't think it's the water. especially with this one. for one thing-- we had a water-softener system thing- for the whole house in our last house-- so that's not it.
second- i do that vinegar thing-- and the smell IS awful. but it does work.
the pot we have now i think is a mechanical prop-- cuz sometimes, like after 15 minutes of waiting for my coffee-- i impatiently go in there to see what's up? - and see like half a pot -- or less made-- and the coffee pot making it's strangulation noises as if it's really struggling to finish, but nothing is comin out---
that's when i get pissed and give it a shove into the back of the machine-- and it starts spurtin coffee again.
so-- my theory on this one? it doesn't seem to get the message that there is a pot in there. hmmmm. insubordinate coffee pot bitch.
hubby is just as sick of it-- we're gettin a new one today-- just debating on who gets the pleasure of taking a hammer to this one :))
just kiddin.
big hugs and happy sunday.
hi brenda--
yup she sure does-- she's the master queen cat around here.
soulman will only admit to loving her. he still pretends to hate spot -- they've had relationship problems in the past. i wasn't sure if i should call an ambulance or the police on their 'domestics' lol.
he knows he loves the both-- but jitty does love him back-- a man rarely admits they care for a cat tho-
haha.
:))
thank you wenn
they are actually spoiled lil brats :))
but we obviously love them.
cavuto is obviously the most spoiled -- but he isn't ours to spoil. :))
happy sunday-- and welcome to my blog-
ola,
i remember loaning your mother my expensive coffee maker I had gotten as a wedding gift and what do I see as I enter her apartment building?
A sign saying :for sale coffee maker and roll away bed.
(also MINE!!)
I'll stick to my beloved coffee press. It's perfect for the impatient.
Speaking of crazy Cavuto, I just took him out in his stroller for the first time in days because he would not shut up about it. BEGGING to go out.
I DO feel a lot more embarrassed here than I do at home :)
luv me
smocha-- i remember your mother and her antics of selling things that weren't hers-- eegads. i don't remember if you confiscated the goods before she sold them or not???
anyhow-- about your coffee press---
do they have starbucks over there? did you use the starbucks card at the airport- or do you still have it- (luckily soulkid forgot about it haha)-- anyhow-- guess what i saw at our starbucks??? -- just guess.. it would be PERFECT for you-- perhaps you could find it online? i haven't checked , but i immedieately thought of you when i did see it--- it was a go-cup-- COFFEE PRESS!
i kid you knot.-- you must find one.
how much cash was on that card? just out of curiosity...
luv me-
don't be embarrassed about your cat stroller-- that's LOVE baby- :)))
aaawwwwwww they're so cute! and I'd take my Curzon out in a stroller but I don't think Mr. Cat would take that too well. I'll find something that'll let him feel safe but see the world too... someday!
by the way, you have a way with names. Next time I need to come up with a new name for an animal, I'm coming to you. lolol
I think you may need to cart Jitterbug around in a baby carriage to keep some of the weight off her feet. She is a bit of a chub isn't she? Love all the "baby" photos :)
Lynx- everyone loves our pet names-- we've had some even better. like a siamese named "tater' - for example. :))
anyhow-- they make strollers especially for cats! or small dogs i guess too. my sis had one before she fled the country-- i mean before she moved to england :))
i don't know where she got it-- but it has a cover and stuff on it-- i'll put a pic up. maybe you can find one online?
as for the one she has now-- she puts a harness on her baby so he can't escape :))
hope you have a good day--
mornin Gypsy--
haha-- a 'bit of a chub' ?
she weighed in at the vet at a whopping -- you ready?
15.8 pounds !
i don't know the metric weight for that but it's huge for a cat! and she was 'normal' TIL she got spayed. then she exploded.
haha
happy -- whatever day it is :))
I thought Eevee was a Belgian! Sounds like your dog may have not come from a strong breeding line. Ours was terrific in the house and didn't get into any mischief outside either. He accidentally broke a Christmas ornament one year with his swishing tail. He was so ashamed! From then on, he kept a good distance from the tree. Super smart. They are high energy dogs, so they have to have lots of playtime and a "purpose" in life. Their lifetime is pretty short - 10 to 12 years. Yours is getting up there.
Regarding my camera, I use a Nikon D90. Got it in the early spring. Blog photos posted before April were taken with a Nikon D70. Great cameras!
hey donna--
yup they are great dogs-- and eevee LOVES to play. very energetic.
i had no idea they had a short life span til you said 12 years-- then i asked hubby... he apparently knew. how depressing. i really didn't need to know that right now. but i guess i already knew she was declining.
anyhow about her pedigree/ breeding line etc-- you will be very surprised when you hear about that. (she didn't poop in the house btw-- musta been a sushi fart :))
anyhow--- i have a great video of eevee in training from a few years ago-- i gotta dig it up-- but i have to go get my sick kid some medicine first.
i'll be back.
ps-- i googled your camera--- WOW. i'm jealous! i hope you use it alot.
it's very niiiiice!
happy monday
i don't see any new stuff that you spoke of...update hawg! I'm dying of sickness and boredom!
BTW ...Cavuto , as huge as he is only weighed in at 11 point something pounds when we left the US.
He never gained back all the weight he lost in quarantine.
Save me:)
LOL, it is a great breed and they have a lot of joy! Buddy loved to play until he dropped! We had to put him down one week shy of his 12th birthday. He was fading fast with liver disease/cancer. Broke our hearts because he was the best dog EVER. His grandfather was the most decorated obedience trial winner of all time & he was pure European stock. He was expensive, but worth every penny! Sorry that you didn't know they don't have a long lifespan! Love her while you got her!
smocha--
look in my links list-- k-nucklehead :))
donna--
what was his kennel name??
i cannon find my video! nor can i think of the kennel name. ugh. senile much?
it's von.. something. very famous, champion lines. also very expensive.
i'll have to find the posts back when/how we got her. we sort of adopted her. miraculously we didn't have to pay for her. kinda complicated. but it seems she came from a abusive family-- NOT her kennel, of course, but someone they had her staying with. long story. but they ruined her, as far as her training - slash - breeding goes. but she's a great dog.
when hubby gets home i'll have him find the video-- she's scary :))
laterz
I can't believe how long this comment thread is!
Did you sleep this weekend? You need to get your groove back!
baby carriage! LOL!
fun photos!
hey cheryl--

geesh-- i don't think i've ever had one go this long... wow- i should post my pets more often eh? :))
yeh i know-- i'm laggin. still havin some pain, not near as bad tho-- i can move my arm better at least.
happy tuesday-
