Hope Floats . . .

well. that's that. case closed. no arrest. no conviction. no satisfaction. no glory.
can't have nuthin !

'my detective ' called me a while ago. and not with any good news. he got the signatures. unfortunately, he could not make a match. he called them 'inconclusive' .
it's over. lack of evidence. there is nowhere else to go with this. without the tape from the pawn shop -- no clear proof which one pawned the stuff. it's just over and done. and the bad guy wins again. is anybody really surprised ? this is just the way things go for me, and we all know it. i have tried my very best to be patient. i have tried my very best to not dwell on this , and to not think about it all the time. to not bask in thoughts of revenge or even worse -- to wish bad things on these guys. i have really just -- for the most part, as much as i was able-- even more than i ever have before... i left it in the hands of the cops , and in the hands of God to handle this. and i held on to the Hope that it would turn out for the best.

well, guess what? it's true. and even though i did shed a few tears in my defeat after i talked to the detective.... i had to chuckle at the phrase-- hope floats. cuz the other day when hubby and i fished the tournament-- i was telling him towards the end that there was still hope that we could get a big one. he was a little beaten feeling already and said "yeh, well, hope floats!"
we both laughed at that-- and decided the next boat we buy-- will be named 'hope floats' :))
hey-- ya just gotta laugh at some of this crap sometimes right?

unfortunately... right now-- i'm not laughin too much.
i am gonna let it soak in a little more, then go pick up copies of the police report--- and from there, i spose i need to figure out how to sue:

"the" MOVING COMPANY
OF DALLAS TEXAS

(i had the name of the company here earlier-- i decided to remove it until i talk to them. i jumped the gun a bit there maybe by throwin their name up here. they have been cooperative, and did fire both the guys 'involved'. so. i'll give them a chance to settle this before i throw their name around. especially when i'm pissed off.)

AND PERHAPS I MAY FILE A CIVIL CLAIM AGAINST THE THEIF :
B.J.S WHO STOLE MY JEWELRY WHILE MOVING (in a professional capacity) MY HOUSEHOLD GOODS!!!!!
( 9-27: well, i had assholes name here too-- but had to remove it as well, because the case is actually still 'open'. )

and-- just so ya know-- i have some good news too-- i just have to go for now-- i will share it later-- or tomorrow when i feel a little better.

be happy folks

well, that sucks . You should also spread that news on Craigslist and any other place those guys do their advertising. The moving company should have done something to compensate you!

Otherwise ,oh crap, you were renting, I was going to say "I hope you filed a claim with your homeowners insurance." Oh well , maybe you had it when you moved. :))

Can't wait to see what your good news is!

I'm frekin' beat. I still have to cook dinner, but I don't know what time my spouse will be home.

I'm tired. Save me. :)

Luv me

Where does hope float? Just asking.

So, no closure. You're the victim, and that's hard to swallow. I hope the thief's get their due one day. You need to move on, as hard as that is to accept. Otherwise they still have control of your emotions.

So, good new? Yippee and I can't wait to hear it. You need good news.

Well, this just sucks BIG TIME! So now that you can't find relief through the so-called legal system (which protects the guilty more than the victims), you have no choice but to sue civilly....the moving company (who you trusted to provide honest help) and possibly suing HIM personally, although he probably doesn't have anything...not even a conscience. But hopefully (there's that word again) you can recoup the value of your stolen articles. The moving company will surely have insurance to cover these types of losses, so that's probably your best bet. Good luck! Now hurry up and tell us the good news!!!
