i wake up late-- i do my chores late-- if at all ... i post late-- obviously--- i make my rounds late--- WTH.. i'm just late..
i haven't even bought my own kid a birthday card--or cake-- and TODAY is her "party".. party isn't the cool word at 14 though. but she does have a bunch..and i do mean bunch-- of kids comin over today. i am not even close to ready for them. no cake-- no junk food... no nuthin. ugh.
and of course my chores-- and hers-- are not done. or started for that matter.
i cannot believe everything i have to do today-- and guess what-- i'm sittin on my ass.. in need of a shower before anything else-- then my chores-- hubby is at work-- the kid is STILL in bed. i am NOT letting anyone in this house until it's clean. and she knows it--- yet she wants to go to the mall before they come... OMG. i would say no.. and not only no, but hell no--- but i have to find a way to get her a gift, and a card-- and a cake-- and all the junk food and crap-- and me, not being able to drive-- does not make that an easy task at all, now does it?
ugh..
who wants to trade places for a day? a week? month????? any takers???
anyhow-- i'm rambling. i gotta get the kid up and busy-- and i gotta get up and cleaned up and get this house cleaned up---and get out and get that stuff done-- then i'm comin home and locking myself in my room!!! that's where all moms are wanted when kids are around anyhow isn't it....

oh.. ps--- i got my granny glasses last night-- :)) they're just lovely .. not.

If i were there, I would take you everywhere you need to go. But no worry, soulman will be home soon to take you, won't he? It will all get done somehow.

but yep-- soulman will be home soon.. and not to worry-- i have been on the kid for the last hour-- has she done a thing yet??? nooop-- not anything OTHER than bug the hell outta me that is. you'd think that a kid would KNOW , after all these years that pissin off the woman with cash is NOT a good thing to do-- especially on a PMS day !! i don't think she'll ever learn. poor kid. (insert evil laugh here)
so-- what am i gettin at?? there may be no need to go anywhere anyhow-- cuz there may be no "party"... or need for food, gifts, or any other damn thing.

i just ran out of hot water doin dishes-- not much left after two showers.
so i get to take a blog - slash - smoke break for a while.
oh -- speaking of my little angel-- i just looked over at her-- she and sushi bothe were in a trance-like state--staring out the window--- no idea at what... but she looked just like logan !!!

Good luck with the birthday gathering. Heaven forbid Mom should give the kid a birthday party - she's grown up after all. If you don't believe it, ask her - she'll tell you. At least that's the way my kids were when they were SoulKid's age.
Just get the necessities done, go to your room, and lounge. It's what I'm going to do this evening.

by then we'd already been to mall hell, and got all the junk food and crap-- she knew i wasn't kiddin around.. she zipped her lip. rules-- MY EYE :))
one being not to call her by her real name. riiiight. she uses a pseudo name at school this last couple years-- yup-- she "changed" her name --- and NO -- we don't call her by it. but school does. so she thought we would use that name tonight. NO WAY-- NEVER. never ever. ever.
i told her don't even go there. i don't know "the other rules" cuz we didn't get that far :))
i'm not takin that crap from a kid. UGH.
i'm soooo tiahd tonight. i've been tired half the day... and haven't even been able to lay down yet. i could go to bed i bet ya -- for the night-- but there's a house full of kids here-- and i can't... *TEAR*

So I see your last comment was in the evening, so the party happened. So Soulkid is 5 months younger than mine. What an age! I can't wait to hear how the 'party' went.

I wake up late most days too... can't help it. I don't fall asleep til 2-3 am so it just figures....

yep , it happened... i can only assume it was a success... they all hid in her room all night-- we saw very little of them.. but of course i can't say that for what we heard. you know how that is. music.. yackin, laughin, cackling, torturing each other etc etc. but apparently-- those are the sounds of teenage entertainment. :))
they didn't break anything, or burn the house down.. so i can call it a hit. i think. i haven't seen the aftermath yet. and i don't think i will see her until dinner time..seein as she --and whoever else is in there was still up at almost 6 a.m. ugh. to be young again.. it a feat against nature for me to be awake after midnight anymore. i'm such an old lady.
five months difference in our kids eh? so you still have this age freshly embedded in your mind eh? aint it great? :))

i used to stay up really late-- til God invented xanax-- :)) now i go to bed whenever i feel like it. if i don't take my meds though-- i either can't sleep at all-- or wake up every half hour or so. not fun. so i know how you feel.
but- when i say i sleep " late".. i mean 6 ish .. in comparison to my 3-4 ish a few weeks ago, before the seizure. no idea what happened there.
i even have cut out the naps the last few days-- which is actually a good thing for me. i was sleeping entirely too much for anyones good. but now i'm three days runnin without a nap. makes me kinda crabby at night-- but i don't feel so lazy.
and yep we would have fun drivin around-- except i have a habit of usin the passenger brake-- that can be irritating for some folks :))
i'm kinda controlling in the car :))

Have read your comments so know the party is now all over. I am going to have to contend with all this in a couple of months and lucky Craig will be well and truly out of the way at his new job. That leaves just me to take care of everything. Well don't that suck?

and two--- i was sooo flippin exhausted, i finally left hubby to hold down the fort !! and i went to bed... i went in there at about 8-- maybe asleep by 10-- i felt bad, since he had to get up early-- but i couldn't stand it anymore--- and he was nice about it... so it was alright. and everybody lived-- can't say that woulda happened if I was left in charge :))
