i suppose i should post something.. but what?

hmmm...
i have nothing to say. does that surprise you?

kinda does me. i'm so friggin sick of whinin and cryin on here.

could it just be the winter blues? SAD? (seasonal affective disorder) i know i have that. i really do. i have never ever done well emotionally in the winter time. i must have sunshine to live. or at least to feel alive.

anyhow. does anybody know how many days--or perhaps even weeks, that i have been saying i need to go grocery shopping? i have lost count myself! well-- i still haven't been. which means... i really must go today. my family is gonna throw me on the grill if i don't get food in this place soon. like today.
even i am gettin sick of not having food here-- and lately food just doesn't thrill me much. i could take it or leave it. preferably leave it... but soulman won't let me.

so, anybody doin anything today .... i know the weather sucks just about every-damn-where. so i bet not much outside stuff will be goin on. i also know most of y'all are fightin off some sort of cold or flu. i spose that doesn't leave a lot, other than goin to work feelin like hell--- or well, doing other things you'd rather not do-- whilst feelin like hell.

i spose i will be shopping *CRINGE*,
hanging shit on my walls....
i may-- or may not, get this mop cut off my head
and if i get all that done.. i just might... yes MIGHT.. break out my guitar-- and see if i can still bust out some johnny cash.

i will get back to you on how my day progresses-- and y'all do the same-- ok?

i hope you all have happy days.. or try to--

Hey lady. Glad you're getting out of the house. Man, you must be getting stir crazy! I am glad that Soul man is looking out for you..you do need to eat, and do other normal day to day things. Maybe getting your hair cut will change your outlook?

It is chilly here in NYC today...around 28 degrees, and the wind is blowing, not a gale, but still! Beautiful sunny day though. Tomorrow it is supposed to be nasty...all the wind and rain. YECH!

I don't have a cold or flu, knock on wood! I am, however, sore just about all freaking over! Yoga and the gym. Yep went again last night. Tonight, I'm taking it easy. Maybe some laundry, as stated in the meme. Tomorrow it is either yoga or the gym, or nothing at all if my body doesn't stop demanding advil...

hi girl--
yoga, i thought was sposed to be some old lady relaxing kinda well.. whatever-- some kinda cheating way to "exercise". i spose that's a lie eh?
guess if it's painful for someone in fairly good shape-- it's definitely not something i will be lookin into any time soon . :))

i'm tellin ya-- fishin is just my thing. it really does keep me in ok shape--when i can do it regularly at least.
it works more muscles than people think. bass fishin does anyhow- i spose sittin on the bank with the rod in a stick drinkin a beer doesn't help anything --but constant casting, and walking and standing sure does.

anyhow-- yep-- soulman is a good babysitter. he was a good one yesterday -- i was such a big baby yesterday-- he understood tho. he sure is easy to love sometimes-- womder why he irritates me so easily at other times :)) just kiddin. no i'm not .:))

glad you aren't sick-- and i do hope you get used to the yoga thing. it really is sposed to be good for ya.

the weather sucks here too-- but i am sure you would PAY for it. so i wont bitch. at least not til i get back from the store-- well-- IF i actually go--GOD i don't want to even get UP.

happy somethin day

Don't think of it as shopping, thing of it like I do: RETAIL THERAPY!
Well, ok, grocery shopping doesn't count. I frickin' hate that too. I guess you don't have Simon Delivers in Texas?
The good news is it's above zero today. Woo Hoo!
My plans for the day? A whole lot of work but today I should be doing more graphic design and less pesky phone calls.
And the weekend is nearly here! Happy dance!

SOUL said...

i cannot believe you just said happy dance!!!
either you have been around longer than i know, and just haven't talked until recently-- or you are just a bit more like me than i knew! i say that teeeew. well i used to. when i was warm and happy and actually DID the happy dance!!!
you know, i will do the happy dance for YOU when i hear that the freakin collar is off of your neck!!
and i will do the happy dance when you say that you drive again.
there are other things for me to do the happy dance about-- just seems they aren't here yet.

it's been a damn rough time lately hasn't it.

but ya know what jess... a lot of good has happened too this passed few months too.
really.

know what else? YOU are part of that good. it's nice to have met you.

i think i need to get you and jamie to go fishin though-- ya big whimps!!!

Cold, wet, ugly weather is getting pretty old. I promised myself that if I kept to a schedule of doing "stuff" in the house (that needs to be done) I wouldn't notice what's happening outside. HA!! Wrong again.

I, too, thought Yoga was for old ladies. Boy did I change my mind. There are at least 500 ways to hurt yourself. Some of those stances just ain't natural. (Yoga is a good thing, but I'm too lazy so I put it down.)

I hope your food shopping goes well. Just back your ears and run at each aisle gabbing whatever you think you'll need. Don't stop to think about it - keep moving! Then go home carry in things that need to go in freezer or frig. Leave the rest for hubby and daughter to carry in. Now, sit down, get comfy, and take a naaaaaapppp!

Yoga is definitely NOT old lady exercise. I am dripping with sweat during that workout. You use your body against itself in terms of both stretch and strength. It is very calming to the mind, because you have to pay attention to your breathing. You literally exhale into a stretch. I normally do cardio and weight lifting at the gym, so yoga wakes up a different set of muscles. I enjoy both because I like to make my body WORK, so i probably overdo it.

I have no doubt bass fishing is strenuous. Don't those fishies fight being reeled in? or is that trout?

I'm here to tell you that while i love my husband dearly, he irritates the snot out of me. He, too, takes great care of me...so it would seem ungrateful at the least to admit that, however, call a spade a shovel and get one with it...

oh, and we do the happy dance at our house, too...all 3 of us. My happy dance makes my son crack up when done at home. if i ever did it outside the home, he'd die of embarrassment.

Soul-
So you're a happy dancer too?! See now I know you are cool. We both say asshat and do happy dances!!!

Once last summer when I was in the lake taking photos of water lilies a fish was nibbling on my toes. Is that close enough to fishing??

The UPS man just delivered my easel--so I'm off this computer and going to go make a lovely mess with acrylics. :)

that's exactly how i do it-and exactly what i did-- i did manage to shop-- and i brought in the cold stuff , and left the cans and box stuff out there.
that's what i always do anyhow if they aren't here-- otherwise , these days they usually unload all of it.

anyhow--- that's about as far as i got on my list today

cigs
groceries
nap

hm
oh well.
there's always tomorrow to do the rest..

R-
it's bass--but it's fun!
and i think men were born to annoy us!

my happy dance loooks like the old jerry lewis dance-- but no one looks at it anyhow00 :))
well--yes, except 13 yr olds.. for some reason, everything embarrasses them.

I often feel that too.
Nothing to say, tired, and just want to nuke the world.
ARH! I should change my name to ONE ANGRY HEN!
Whatever!
You got plenty of EGGS in your fridge! I'd freaking feed them fried eggs everyday if I were you.
Gee, now I am mean!
So you want me to give you a hair cut now?

It's firday here, so I'm happy. I would be miserable in the cold weather too. I really dislike the cold. One overcast day here with no sun and I'm not happy! So I can understand how you feel.

I hope spring rolls in quickly and you'll be out in the sun, fishing again!

i actually like grocery shopping (better than shopping for clothes actually) cos I like looking at food products and fresh vegetables. I hope you'll start to enjoy it like I do.

Good Friday night to you!

I'm glad you managed to get some food in the house Soul. I know exactly how you feel about the weather except it is the opposite for me. I hate summer with a passion. It sucks the very life force out of me and makes me lethargic, lazy and just cranky. There is only supposed to be one more month left but knowing our weather the heat will continue on through to April at least.

So, you had a good day - you shopped and you took a nap. That sounds really wonderful. I want to know---did you play a little Johnny Cash?

:)

One of those lights could do you good. You could order it online. A lot of people suffer from SADD.

I'm one of those with a cold. Feeling miserable. I hope you feel better than me!
