ours--and new mexico--and some other states are -- they have salmonella-- wouldn't ya know i heard it on the news the NIGHT i went shopping and spent like five bucks on friggin tomatoes !!!! ugh.. they still sit there in the fridge-- i really want to eat some.. but they you can eat them IF you cook em.. but not raw. well.. YUK. no thanks. :))
anyhow-- diego is a navy base-- so yes you really would LOVE it there-- but unless you wanna join the navy-- you may want to pass. i wish i could go back-- but i'm too old , and --- well-- useless-- to join the navy again. :(( i really liked it there though.

i really did love it there-- that time. i was there once before--it was my first duty station in 85--- it didn't go well that time.. i was only there for a few months. let's just say it was the beginning of the end of why i don't drink anymore. :))
but yep-- that time was 90-91-- and i LOVED it-- cuz i spent most of it sober. isolated duty is no place to be if you're drunk all the time.
(is that TMI ??? )
oh well.
anyhow-- yep-- i did look pretty sharp in them thar whites eh? i will admit, i was proud to wear the uniform.. i think it shows huh.
i was obviously more comfortable in coveralls, and grease tho :))
oh, and that isn't ME with the fish-- that was one of my good friends... i lost her tho-- one of the occupational hazzards of military life i reckon. i've looked for her over the years but can't find her.
