i reckon i could throw a new post on here. i know i been slackin a bit.
so , what do y'all want to hear about first? perhaps i could start at the end... since that is where my poor memory is the freshest.
ok...
UFC... we watched that on pay per view last night. it was most awesome , again. as always. well, almost always. but every fight was a good one. everyone i wanted to win, did. and there was blood... lots and lots of blood. eeeewwweee. but cool. i have never seen anyone with a broken nose before...and i don't imagine i want to again. it hurt me to watch.
so anyhow, by watching the fight, it meant a late night for me, which meant i slept late too. after 7. but i didnt get to sleep til after 1:30 a.m so it wasn't really a huge difference.
ok, next... before that... we watched a blockbuster movie, called "the lookout"... i had never heard of it before. it was one of those...well crap, they don't have anything, but this might be ok, type picks. we've had it here for days, but hadn't watched it, but finally gave in and watched it last night. we were both surprised at how good it actually was. we expected it to be barely watchable. it was a good story. (recommended).
ok.... before that... ummmm... oh dinner... i made a meatloaf cuz i was just exhausted all day yesterday... the heat and fishing kicked my ass, and i just had like zero energy the rest of the day. so i just threw a chunk of meat in the oven and called it meat loaf. canned green beans, and bagged "salad"...with nothing added, no tomatoes or nuthin. no chef rachel ray last night. lazy lay was way more like it. but it was good.
not much before that other than layin in my bed, no sleeping, just bein lazy, wanting to sleep, but not able to for some reason...and a bath before that, and fishin before that... (and that was my saturday...backwards!)
OH... plus... between the movie and the fight... hubby, thank God, took the kid to the store for her school supplies.. so luckily i do not have to endure another shopping excursion!
TODAY, however, i DO have to face a kitchen that i would literally pay someone 100 dollars to clean for me. but i don't know who to offer it to, so i reckon i am on my own. it is a disaster area. i can't bare to think about it, much less get in there and do it...but do it, i must.
anyhow... i was gonna post the mall hell story... but i just don't have the time right now... i need to clean before i cant muster the mental strength, at least right now i think i can get it together enough to at least get started on it. so.... i shall share that little shit... i mean BIT latah. :))
enjoy your sunday peeps... and please...everybody be careful today!!!!

Sounds like a good Saturday, I have never heard of that movie, I will have to look for it....
I would clean your kitchen for free...I'm pretty good at it...:)
I love the rewind view of your Saturday, Soul Sis! Sounds like it ended up pretty nice - if you like a lotta blood - ewww! :-)
Now you know why I don't like to cook - it makes a mess in the kitchen, and then I have to clean it up - everyone else gets to eat and run. That part sucks! When I was growing up (back in the days of child slavery - LOL) we girls had ten minutes after supper to be back in the kitchen cleaning up. I hated it then, but I realize now that it resolved the problem, Mom's kitcken was always spotless, no stacked dishes allowed, not even a bedtime bowl or glass. Lord, I wish I was that disciplined now! I can't use my dishwasher here, the water is too hard, even with the add-in conditioner stuff, it leaves lime on all the silverware, so I have to do it by hand - glad it's just for one person and not a family!
I was so happy to hear that your hubby took the daughter out for school supplies, I know how much you were looking forward to that - NOT! Hey, you'll have some nice mornings to go fishing once you get her out the door! :-)
Loved you noting that the kids watching your fish yesterday were all awed by that big guy that you caught. I don't suppose you weighed him, but it had to be pretty good!
Have a great day Soul Sis, take it easy! I am headed for the dye now. :-)
yep jamie..other than being extremely tag dollish.. a good day.
can't say as exciting as yours. i do hope you aren't minimizing y'alls injuries. i hope you really are ok. i know you don't like to complain. but who does right?
i really don't think you would want to clean THIS kitchen, but a very sweet offer. i appreciate that. i did get a good start on it... til i ran out of hot water :((. but i got the dishwasher loaded... OVER loaded actually. *SIGH* but still have every pot, pan and oversized dish still left to had wash. but hey... looks like i'll git er dun after all.
so, feelin better about that.
hope you're having a good , relaxing day?
hiya jos...
ya... i learned that little backwards storytelling thing very recently, and it seems to work well. i'll have to try that more often. hmmm.
ya the nose. maaan. they just may show a clip of that on tv somewhere...man it was BAD. not just a bloody nose, i mean the guys nose exploded! ugh. painful... it was worse because he had to keep gettin hit...over and over even while he was so hurt. i felt bad for him. but the ufc fan in me liked it. isn't that weird? (oh don't hurt the guy!... OH! break his legs!) odd.
anyhow.... yes the days of child slavery... that's why i think i HATE dishes so much.. not only did i have to do OUR dishes...and started very young... it was also a punishment at times... and also..we were made to clean OTHER peoples kitchens too..weather we ate there or not!!! OMG. i hate dishes. i really really do. HATE them.
someday i will invent disposable cookware. it could happen.
0well...i'm on my water heating back up break..so shall cruise a bit before i have to get back in there and wash the pans and stuff.
ugh.
THAT WOULD BE RAG! rag dollish.
where ARE my new glasses???
oh ya jos... we did weigh this one.. we thought he was a lot bigger, but he weighed at 2.6 LBS.
of course we have like 19.00 el cheapo scales, so i don't know how accurate they are. i'm beginning to think not very. some of the fish we weigh, really look bigger than the scales read.
anyhoo.
i think i need a nap.
somebody save me!
My fam would be ecstatic to have that meatloaf dinner. Would you fix us one??????
Aren't you glad hubby took daughter for the school supplies?
Did he have an easier time?
I would have been freaked out if a 16 year old boy was talking to my almost 13 year old...you did good!
ERIN... i'll be over this weekend to make that meatloaf!
yes, she usually does act better at the store with dad... but they have their moments too.
ya... the mall hell... many more ahead i'm sure. :((
