hail damage , full of grace
well y'all, you know i'm not the luckiest person in the world. that proved itself once again last night in the hail storm. i didn't even bother to look at the house/roof/etc yet-- we rent, and i really don't care. but, i did go check out my car this morning. soulman was leaving for work just as i was getting up-- he said both cars were damaged. lovely. just friggin peachy. my main concern was the glass-- i have to drive to wonderful dallas today-- y'all know i love that-- imagin it with a cracked or broken windshield. ugh. instant headache ..instant heartburn.
i had to have some coffee before i surveyed the damage.. but when i did-- i was upset-- but at the same time a bit relieved that it wasn't worse. it sure coulda been.

Boy howdy - you can keep that weather. It may rain all the time up here, but at least our weather doesn't try and kill us!

Holy crap....just what you need, I know. I remember some hellacious hail storms the year I lived in Dallas, I guess it hasn't changed there. The damage on your car looks bad but I'll bet you can have it repaired for a whole lot less at one of those dent remover places....sometimes the insurance company will waive your deductible if you agree to do it there.
How are you? Great news about soulkid...you must feel so much better. Hug her for me and you, too. Love and miss you. xo

yep brad- i used to live there -- i hated the rain-- but you're right-- it beats killer hail. :))
the dallas day was-- well.. a dallas day. it never goes well, so i just don't expect it to anymore.
but-- i made it there and back in one piece. so i guess it wasn't so bad all in all.
you weren't around when i was havin to go there and waco-- every couple weeks--- it got a little comedic at times-- with my non- sense of direction -- AND senility.
but of course--only after i was home, was there anything funny about it. i was thrilled when the frequent trips ended.
unfortunately-- i do have to go back to this one in june. but it beats a few days like they wanted-- i refused. hell, no. i need weeks to recover from that. :))

i just try not to think about it. it isn't all that obvious-- well, unless ya look for it. i just don't look for it.
just part of the "can't have nuthin" curse. we'll get it fixed when we catch up on everything else.

ola-- yep we've had a few bad hail storms here the past couple years. remember soulmans blue car gettin trashed in the first one? ugh. me and all the animals and soulkid in the bathroom that day--- good times.

it's ok-- i just wish i wouldn't have procrastinated on gettin my garage cleaned up-- it was preventable. just didn't work out. it's been a busy few months.
it's still pretty--- plus, she has batman floormats !!! lol
